under the patronage of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Poland and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Warsaw.

In the program:

  • discussion on the state-of-the-art research in gender and the implementation of gender mainstreaming in national policies and strategies in Norway and Poland,
  • presentation of the projects funded under the Polish-Norwegian Research Programme in gender equality and work-life balance research area (see below for details),
  • presentation of other relevant projects and initiatives in gender equality research area in Norway and Poland.

the Polish-Norwegian Research Cooperation Programme


23 April 2014, Warsaw


The National Centre for Research and Development, Programme Operator for the Polish-Norwegian Research Cooperation Programme, is organising a joint kick-off conference for projects funded in the Core 2012 and the CCS 2013 calls. The aim of the meeting is to present the projects that received funding in these calls. Project promoters and project partners from the CCS Call projects as well as from the project under the following thematic areas of the Core 2012 call, are kindly invited to participate:

 

  • Environment,
  • Climate change, including polar research,
  • Health,
  • Social sciences and bilateral cooperation.

 

The meeting will last for one full day and will be divided into two parts – a common opening and group presentation sessions. During the common opening, members of the project consortia will meet with representatives of the NCBR and other institutions involved in the Programme. Then, the projects representatives will be divided into thematic groups, according to the thematic areas of the Programme. In the second part, each project team will give a short presentation about their project and will have a chance to answer any questions from the audience.


Travel costs incurred due to participation in the meeting are eligible in the project and can be charged under promotion and dissemination actions.


The meeting will take place in Warsaw, on 23 April 2014. Exact location will be further confirmed.

 

CCS call for proposals info day & matchmaking event

In relation to the upcoming call for proposals in the area of Carbon Capture & Storage the National Centre for Research and Development as Programme Operator of the Polish-Norwegian Research Programme invites representatives of Polish and Norwegian scientific communities and other interested parties to a info day/matchmaking event.
 

11 September 2013, Warsaw
10:00 to 16:00 hrs


 

The aim of the event is twofold: to inform potential Beneficiaries on call procedures and to create an opportunity for Polish and Norwegian researchers to meet and exchange ideas which could eventually lead to common projects.

Therefore, the event will consist of two parts:

  • Part I - Information part on the procedure of the Call for Proposals
  • Part II - Matchmaking event for Polish and Norwegian researchers.


In Part I the NCBR’s staff will present the procedure of the call (application procedure and form, evaluation procedure, etc).

In Part II Polish and Norwegian participants will have an opportunity to present in short either their ideas for project or their main areas of interest and have a discussion with other colleagues. The presentations and discussions will be held in the following areas of interest concerning Carbon Capture and Storage processes:

 

  • Storage pilots
  • New innovative solutions for CO2 capture
  • New knowledge that facilitates large-scale CO2 storage
  • Environmental impact
  • Enhancing public and political awareness of CCS.


Travel and accommodation expenses may be included in the project proposal’s preparatory cost and reimbursed by the NCBR according to the procedure of the call. The reimbursement of the  preparatory costs will be provided for proposals recommended for financing (EUR 5 000) and those above the threshold that is receiving a certain number of points in the evaluation procedure (EUR 2 500).

The event will be held on 11 September 2013 in Radisson Blu Centrum Hotel,
24 Grzybowska street, 00-132 Warsaw.

The launch of the call is planned for II half of September.

Small Grant Scheme 2012 Call – workshops

The National Centre for Research and Development as Programme Operator of the Polish-Norwegian Research Programme invites representatives of the scientific community and other interested parties to a Workshops on rules and procedures of the Small Grant Scheme 2012 Call for Proposals.

II.    Match-making event for Polish and Norwegian researchers

In Part I the NCBR’s staff will present the procedure of the call (application procedure and form, evaluation procedure and selection criteria, etc).

In Part II Polish and Norwegian participants will have an opportunity to present in short either their ideas for project or their main areas of interest and have a discussion with other colleagues. The presentations and discussions will be held in the following thematic areas:

 

  • environment,
  • climate change, including polar research,
  • health,
  • social sciences, including the issues of migration; mainstreaming gender equality and promoting work-life balance.

Travel and accommodation expenses concerning the above mentioned events may be included in the project proposal’s preparatory cost and reimbursed by the NCBR according to the procedure of the call. The reimbursement of the  preparatory costs will be provided for proposals recommended for financing (EUR 5 000) and those above the threshold that is receiving a certain number of points in the evaluation procedure (EUR 2 500).

The launch of the Call for Proposals is planned for September. The call will be open for at least 2 months. The call for proposals will be open for all entities that meet the eligibility criteria. Participation in the events is optional and does not stand as a condition for applying in the call.

All the materials and presentations used by the NCBR during the events will be posted on the Programme website.
